What we did at the Haunted Harbor
The Northern Lights Pony Club competed in the Haunted Harbor at The Wilson Boat House in 2001. There were 12 skits that people had done about their favorite scary movie. The passengers wouldgo by boat to see the skits on the docks of the harbor. After seeing all of the skits they would get a ticket and were able to vote for their favorite skit! The Northern Lights Pony Club chose to do "Sleepy Hollow"! We acted our skit with Icabad Crane, Magistrate Phillips, The Headless Horsemen, and of course the Horse!

Icabad and M. Phillips came up a dock and go into the woods, arguing that there was or wasn't a headless horsemen! Just as they were looking around the dark forest, the headless horsemen came riding out on his horse and slices M. Phllips head off as he fell to the ground. The headless Horseman leaves. Just when Icibad thinks he is safe the horseman comes back out jabbing the head and leaving once again. Icabad faints to the ground as the horseman comes to show the crowd his head on his slick sword!

Who helped?
Most of the pony clubbers came to the Harbor to help with our showbuiss magic! We had to do about 40 acts every night for 2 weeks straight! It was hard work but it paid off!
You Used a Real Horse?
Yes! We used a pony called Jack that is owned by one of our pony clubbers. He was trailered to the harbor every night to perform! He added some great special effects by an occasional hop of the ground, a slight rear, or a loud neigh! Great job Jack!
Did You Win?
Yes! We won out of the 12 skits that were shown! We won for all of our hard work! We went to the banquet for results and when we were given the check and trophy, Jack came inside the boat house for a treat also! Everyone loved seeing "the first horse EVER in the boathouse!". We had a lot of fun out there!

Thank you Pat Brady and Kathy Evans for all of your help!
